It all began with her Easy Bake Oven. From there, Leah went on to get her first cooking job at the age for 14, for a farm family and their hired help, during haying season. Leah earned a diploma in Hotel and Resort Operations from Georgian College in Ontario, Canada, where she was one of four chosen to attend a cooking competition in London, England. She then furthered her education at BYU-Hawaii, where she earned a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Management. Her adventurous spirit and love of travel has afforded her many opportunities to try new and unusual foods, a quality she is trying to instill in her family. After cooking for various companies (including Logan Regional Hospital) over the years, Leah decided it was time to start her own catering business, so that she could stay home with her kids. The Caterer has been in business almost ten years. She mainly caters for weddings, making wedding cakes, doing receptions and wedding breakfasts. She also does business luncheons for companies around the valley. You can read more at www.leahthecaterer.com
