The Best Brownies

Brownies

4 oz Oban* chocolate
3/4 cup butter  2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 T vanilla Paste*, or 1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup nuts (optional) 

Microwave chocolate and butter for 2 minutes.  Whisk until chocolate is melted.  Stir in sugar, then eggs 1 at a time.  Mix well.  Stir in vanilla and flour.  Stir in nuts if using.
 Bake in a greased 9x13 pan (the gold lined All-Clad pan works the best) for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.  Lower temperature to 325 for convection ovens.
